Kevin Costner has candidly discussed the emotional toll of his divorce from Christine Baumgartner, describing the experience as "crushing."

In a June 26 interview with CBS Mornings, Costner discussed splitting up with the handbag designer, with whom he has three children: Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 14.

“That’s a crushing moment,” the Yellowstone opened up about his split, adding, “It’s powerful. It hurt, but I go forward.”

He said that since his kids are watching him, he has "no choice" but to move on. Costner said, "I can't wilt like a daisy."

The Body Guard star added, “I have to go forward. I have to continue to be who I am, and keep a special eye on who [my children] are.”

Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner in May 2023, stating that their separation was due to irreconcilable differences.

She also mentioned that their date of separation was April 11, 2023.

However, Costner made waves with his new flick Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 which will be released in theaters on June 28, while Chapter 2 on August 16, 2024.
