Ariana Grande recently disclosed that the noticeable shift in her voice in a viral video was deliberate.

In a recent interview with Podcrushed, the Wicked star voice unexpectedly transitions to a higher pitch in the TikTok clip after she starts speaking in a lower tone.

The video garnered over 5 million views after it was uploaded a day ago,

Grande responded and explained the abrupt shift in her voice.

“Habit (speaking like this for two years) and also vocal health,” the 7 Rings songstress responded.

She continued, “I intentionally change my vocal placement (high/low) often depending on how much singing I’m doing. I’ve always done this BYE.”

To note Grande recently released her latest studio album titled Eternal Sunshine.

She shared about her recent album, “I did not plan to [make new music now]. I didn’t have the goal to make an album.”

The Everything singer said, “I actually was really opposed to coming out with music until after Wicked, either both parts or just one part. I wasn’t sure how I would feel.”

Grande, who portrays Glinda in the film adaptation of the musical "Wicked," will star alongside Cynthia Erivo is set to premiere in theaters on November 27.
