The first season of the show was premiered in 2020, followed by its second installment in 2022.

The series, based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel, featured a cast including Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz, and Rosie Perez.

Kaley Cuoco expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to portray Cassie, stating, "Personally, playing Cassie has been a dream come true, and I am so grateful for everyone who played a part in bringing this extremely original series to life," according to PEOPLE.

Steve Yockey, the show's creator and executive producer, described The Flight Attendant as a true passion project that received a stunning reception from both viewers and critics.

He acknowledged the unorthodox nature of the show and expressed gratitude to the incredible team behind it.

"The Flight Attendant was a true passion project and the reception from viewers and critics alike was pretty stunning, Our unorthodox spectacle of a show really found people. As we all move on to new projects, those two seasons of television and the incredible team of professionals behind them will always stay at the top of my list," Yockey shared.

Kaley Cuoco, known for her portrayal of Cassandra Cassie Bowden, earned two Emmy Award nominations in 2021 and 2022 for her performance.

She also received a nod in 2021 for her role as an executive producer. Cuoco shared that winning the nominations felt like the honor of her career.

The decision to end the series comes as Cuoco had hinted earlier that she didn't foresee plans for a third season.

In May 2022, she mentioned, "Now, I'm like, 'Well, we did two. We should probably be done.' And I think I've been outnumbered with that thought."
