Jacob Elordi, known for his role in The Kissing Booth trilogy, opened up about his perspective on the film series.

In a recent interview with GQ's Men of the Year edition, the 26-year-old actor expressed his frank opinion, labelling the trilogy as "ridiculous" and disclosing his initial reluctance to be a part of those movies.

Discussing the pivotal role that garnered attention in the inaugural instalment trilogy of the teen romance, he unveiled details.“I didn’t want to make those movies before I made those movies.”

The Euphoria star added, “Those movies are ridiculous. They’re not universal. They’re an escape.”

"My ‘one for them,’ I’ve done it," he shared with the publication, hinting to the notion of casting in a project with the expectation of securing a more rewarding opportunity in the future.

Elordi characterized this approach as a "trap," cautioning that it could transform into a situation where you end up doing 15 projects for others and none for yourself.

He emphasized the danger of losing originality and vitality, describing it as a delicate balancing act.

Elordi went on to say, “How is caring about your output pretentious?”

The Priscilla actor continued, “But not caring, and knowingly feeding people s---, knowing that you’re making money off of people’s time, which is literally the most valuable thing that they have. How is that the cool thing?”

Elordi has previously voiced regret regarding The Kissing Booth" movies. In a statement to GQ Hype last year, he revealed his opposition to specific creative choices that altered his character from the original book.
