Monica Aldama’s lawsuit for covering up a cheerleader’s sexual assault has been dismissed as revealed by the USA Cheer coach, herself, on Saturday.

She took to her Instagram on Saturday to announce that the lawsuit had ended in her favour, captioning the post with a verse about truth from the Bible, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. John 8:32.”

She penned a lengthy note on how the past six months have been extremely hard on her and her career.

In the uploaded posts, she wrote, “Today I have cried, I’ve laughed, I’ve felt incredible relief but I have also been somewhat consumed by sadness and anger.”

The reason of her gloominess being how she had been suspended in May from USA Cheer without fair trail and investigation.

She further explained how she had “made countless attempts” to get an interview scheduled but had to wait until November 3.

“The real problem was during that six-month delay, I was broken, a shell of myself,” Aldama continued to write explaining her struggle.

Navarro Cheer members were constantly attacked online. I was constantly attacked. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat, and most of the time it was hard to even breathe,” she added.

Monica Aldama lawsuit:

According to People, a cheerleader was sexually assaulted by a team member during her first semester at Navarro College. She alleged Aldama of covering up the incident further claiming that she offered to help the victim in her career in exchange for not filing a report.

At that time, Aldama  claimed that the accusations were “wildly inaccurate.”

"I am heartbroken by the false allegations made against me," she continued. "... I would never remain silent, or ask any student to remain silent, if I were aware that any sexual misconduct occurred in the Cheer program."

In her last array of notes, addressed to USA Cheer, Aldama said, “Transparency and accountability. These are the qualities that truly defines what makes a great federation."
