Ryan Gosling, who is currently basking in the success of his blockbuster hit film of the year, Barbie, stepped out on a family outing to the beach in Santa Barbara, California, on Friday.

Gosling continued to channel his Barbie character, Ken, as he enjoyed beach outing with his wife Eva Mendes with their two rarely-seen daughters. They were also joined by an elderly woman, who appeared to be Eva's mother.

In the pictures obtained by TMZ, the La La Land star, 42, was seen clad in a red T-shirt under a plaid top and light blue jeans.

Gosling also donned a white baseball cap and sunglasses. Eva, 49, on the other hand, looked gorgeous in a yellow sleeveless dress, which went perfect for the beach. Their daughters, Esmeralda, 8, and Amada, 7, were also seen having fun.

The Notebook star also won fans’ hearts as he was seen helping an elderly lady (who appeared to be Eva’s mother, Eva Perez Suarez.) walk across the sands. He was clicked holding her hands as they waded into the shallow waters.

Ryan Gosling’s latest outing came after reports revealed that his film, Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig, has successfully achieved the $1 billion dollar mark this past weekend at the global box office.

According to Forbes, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling led film reached the gigantic financial milestone on Sunday, two weeks after its global release on July 21, 2023.

Previously in an interview, Gosling addressed the backlash upon his casting as Ken in the film. He told GQ, “It is funny, this kind of clutching-your-pearls idea of, like, #notmyken. Like you ever thought about Ken before this?”

The Grey Man star said, “If you ever really cared about Ken, you would know that nobody cared about Ken. So your hypocrisy is exposed,” before adding, “This is why his story must be told.”

Barbie is currently running in theatres across the globe.
