'Barbie' director Greta Gerwig 'quietly' gives birth to her second baby with Noah Baumbach

Barbie’s director Greta Gerwig has revealed that she secretly welcomed her baby no.2 with her life partner Noah Baumbach earlier this year.

During a recent interview with Elle UK, the filmmaker shared her baby's photos with the interviewer and called her baby boy a "little schmoo".

Talking about her little baby, she said: "He's a little Schmoo. I don't know if you can tell energy from the picture, but that's very much his energy. He's a wise little baby."

Gerwig, the Oscar-nominated writer, shared that even though her newborn sleeps all night, she is "still doing that thing where I wake up, every hour to 90 minutes, and just hover. You just keep wanting to look at that baby. So I'm slightly in a twilight state."

In December, Gerwig announced her pregnancy on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

"I am with child—number two. I went to an event recently, and I wore something that I thought everyone would be so interested to know that I was going to have another child, and nobody cared. It didn't get reported on. Turns out, nobody's paying attention to you,” she said.

Greta Gerwig is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming directed movie Barbie. The film will release worldwide tomorrow, July 21, 2023.
