Britney Spears claims alleged assault by Victor Wembanyama's security

Pop icon Britney Spears has filed a police report following an alleged assault by a member of NBA player Victor Wembanyama's security team.

According to TMZ report, the incident occurred at the Catch restaurant located in the ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday night.

Accompanied by her husband Sam Asghari and two others, the 41-year-old singer encountered a swarm of fans as they entered the casino.

Spotting Wembanyama, whom she admires, the Hold Me Closer singer approached him to request a photo together.

However, the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs, the team that recently drafted the 19-year-old basketball player, reportedly backhanded the singer when she tapped him on the shoulder.

The force caused her to fall, resulting in her glasses being knocked off in the process.

Shortly after the incident, the security personnel responsible approached Spears' table and expressed apologies, attributing the reaction to being overwhelmed by the presence of fans.

While the Criminal singer accepted the apology, her team proceeded to file a battery complaint with the Metropolitan Police Department.
